How we write guides
Our guides are grounded in mainstream primary-maths teaching, the progression from counting to recall, the concrete–pictorial–abstract approach, and the fluency goals of the Key Stage 1 and 2 curriculum. We write in plain English and prioritise practical, do-this-today advice over theory.
Accuracy and corrections
We aim to be accurate and up to date. Maths facts and definitions are checked against standard curriculum usage. If you spot an error, tell us and we'll fix it promptly, corrections are a normal, welcome part of good publishing.
How we review games
The games we feature in our arcade are assessed on how well they help children practise: does it target a clear skill, give instant feedback, keep sessions short, and adjust difficulty? We describe games honestly, including where they're a better fit for some ages than others.
Independence and honesty
We only make claims we can stand behind. Our own game is free, needs no sign-up, stores scores only on your device, and shows no ads to children, and we say so plainly. We don't publish fabricated reviews or testimonials.
Updates
We revisit content over time to keep it useful and current. Substantial changes are reflected in the page's updated date.
